The Mask and Rose Theater announces that applications are now being taken to award two $1,000 musical scholarships to two up and coming female musicians as part of the fifth Sister Song Celebration concert on the rural stage at Belle Thalia Creative Arts Space in Puposky . The Sister Song Celebration Concert will be held on Saturday , Sept. 23rd from 2-4 PM with a community potluck to follow . Applications can be obtained by emailing maskrose57@gmail.com and an audition will be also required to be held on August 22nd from 5-7 PM at the Wild Rose Theater or with an online submission . The scholarship winners will also be featured at the concert with other local female musicians .
The scholarship can be used for music lessons , recording sessions , website creation or whatever furthers the artist’s musical growth . Our scholarships were generously donated by Bemidji HS grad , Gerry Cardinal III and his wife , Lena Yoo .
